What is wrong with people?

Just a short rant...someone left a nasty message on my wedding webpage saying our marriage would never last. No email address, of course. Why would someone take the time to spread negativity to people they don't even know? I checked the IP address and it is from somewhere in Georgia. I don't know anyone from GA. It just amazes me that someone could be so miserable with his/her own life that they feel the need to spread ugliness to people around them. I guess that's the difference between me and them - I love my life and am thankful for everyone and everything in it. So I choose to spread love. End of rant.

If it helps, we have an internet stalker that's been trying to get Brad to dump me for years. It's someone that knows both of us, but we've never been able to pin down exactly who it is. They last contacted Brad about a month ago & hopefully that will be the end of it since we're married now. So basically, I know how you feel. It just boggles my mind that someone could spend so much time trying to mess with somebody else's life.

It was probably someone from theknot since it looks like you have a link to your real wedding website in your siggy. I would take that out ASAP because you don't want people to be able to find out so much about you. There have even been cases of stolen identities on the boards in the past. Your website looks great, but you should only give the address to your guests. Make a free website with info about your planning to share with knotties. There will always be people like this out there, sorry that this happened!

Thanks for the tip, Meredith. I removed it right away. It was the only website I had, so I put it on there. I guess that was pretty naive of me. And thanks for the support. I just accepted that there are some real jerks out there and that won't change.

Trinette, YGM (Meredith, I wanted to make sure that she checked your suggestion so I emailed her about it) I agree with Meredith - remove it from your siggy and it wouldn't be a bad idea to password protect it, emailing the PW to your guests - since someone already has access to it. GL, HTH!

there was a bride named erika from georgia that posted in the nc section. she had quite a temper and was quite jealous and also rumored to do this to nc brides. hmmmm...good work on the ip address.

You are EXACTLY right. If you don't know anyone in Georgia, than most likely it's the same person that reads this board that targets everyone else. I sincerely thought it was Andrea (and it still may be?) but Andrea brings up an interesting point.

Thanks, girls. Website is now password protected. Funny you should mention Erika, Andrea. I have a random connection to her and know who she is (although I have not met her). She was (and is in the middle of a nasty divorce right now, FYI) married to the cousin of my best friend and maid of honor. My friend's family hates her because she was very nasty to her husband and cheated on him, so I heard. Not sure if that is true, but either way, I do know my friend's family blames her for the divorce. Not sure if it was her because it might be that she knows I am friends with her ex's cousin. It would sort of make sense, but wow, you have to be a very unstable person to feel the need to leave a mean message on someone's website who you have never met. I just know what my bff tells me about her. Just thought I would share that weird connection.

i don't think she was even married a year and already out boinkin' another man. she needs some booty control. she was so verbally abusive on here towards her fiance that i guess he may be the winner here. he deserves better. maybe i should go down to the ga board and create some drama about her.

I'm really sorry this happened to you. I'm glad you can see beyond it though and know that whoever did this has nothing better to do. I would say that it could be Erika. I started posting near the end of her time here and she was very nasty to me about a thread I started. I felt verbally attacked. Anyways, I'm sorry this happened!

wow! i guess misery loves company and they will do anything to get it.i have posted here for over 6 months now and always had my link in my bio and have never had any issues (knock on wood b/c now that i say that, i will probably be next).i do have to agree with pp....andrea, you have been much more pleasant lately

I finally had a chance to catch up after being gone all weekend....just wanted to say how crazy this. I really think who ever did it is just simply jealous of you. I know this sounds crazy but one of my ex friends was so jealous (or at least the only conclusion that I could come to) that she went out and got the dog that I had always wanted and had always talked of getting one day. I think there are alot of people out there that only want to make other people lives miserable so that they feel better about themselves. The only advice I can tell you is don't let it get it to you....that is/was their goal in doing want they did and they are just trying to ruin your moment....don't let them!
