Still no pictures

It's been a month and Jason hasn't sent me my E- pics yet. I swear this is making me crazy! I know he is busy I emailed him last week, he said he would send them this week. Then I email him yesterday and he said a couple more day. I guess I should stop stalking him and just wait patiently, but I need to order my save the dates! Uggg :(

    My friend went through the same exact thing with him- you'll get them but I know it's hard waiting! Hang in there.

    If I were you, I would tell him that it is not acceptable for him to keep pushing it back. I would be annoyed. If he is doing this for your e-pics then how long will it take for your wedding photos?

    Oh no we were thinking about booking Jason Rhee.  Have you heard of any other girls on here waiting a long time to get the pics from him?

    LADY324 to be honest even though this is annoying, I would book him again 100 times! He was so good, had FI laughing (which is hard), and was so professional. For the price and what he offers, and his quality I don't think there is any comparison. With that being said this is taking a long time but he did tell me he was away for the  Thanksgiving Holiday.

    I'm sorry that you are having such a tough time getting the pics from him. I would wait a couple more days but then try to contact him if you don't hear anything. I would try to be cordial but firm. I know you are busy but I really wanted to use our epics for our STDs. I need to get them done by x date. If you could please let me know when we will be receiving them, I would appreciate it. GL!

    Ok thanks for settling my nerves lol.  He did seem really cool and nice when ew met with him.  I have a feeling we are going to end up booking him but I just wanted to check out 2 other people as well so we have 3 comparisons :)  GL and post the pics when you get them.

    It took 4 weeks for Jason to get me my engagement photos.  However, Thanksgiving was in there, and I know October/November was a busy month for him.  They came out great and were worth the wait.

    I wouldn't worry too much about getting them now versus a few days from now.  You're almost a year out, so you have lots of time to get out save the dates.

    Where did you guys do your engagement photos?  I really like your pic!  We were thinking that if we book Jason we are going to do central park.

    We used him for our wedding and he had our wedding pics and DVD to us the weekend after our HM...so just a little over 2 weeks, I know it is tough, but just be patient and you shall receive ;)

    Lady - mine were in Central Park!  He knows his way around there, which means he got a lot of shots in in a short amount of time.  We're the November 1 post on his blog.  He really got some great shots.  I was very happy with them.  We got a total of 212 pictures, which I think is a lot!  He sent us a disc and 4x6 proofs.

    That does seem crazy long, though.  Maybe for a wedding with many hundreds of prints, but just an e-shoot?  I'd be patient because Jason is a good guy; it's not like you're not going to get them.  But there's nothing wrong with poking him a little.

    It seems every day someone posts here about booking Jason. (And I'm sure lurkers book him too.) Inevitably, this means he constantly has a full plate.

    Also, I wouldn't be surprised if he places more priority on weddings than e-pics.

    I do love Jason's style, which is rare among NJ photographers - if I had known about him when I was looking for my photographer, I would have definitely given him a look.

    I know not having the photos is frustrating. But ask yourself this: Would you rather have the photos right away ... but done by a less talented photographer?

    Finally, I don't think it's a good idea to openly rant about your vendors on a public forum when their work with you isn't complete. They may read these boards, and they may not be as nice to you the next time you work with them. Hopefully, Jason isn't that kind of person. (This is why I'm not divulging my vendors here until after my wedding day).

    Hey, Yes I'm sure he is very busy, and I understand that. I never really thought about vendors going around reading post, but luckily I've only had good things to say about Jason. The only thing I'm ranting about is my impatience, if you read all my comments I have only nice things to say about him, and am only sharing this with my knotties as a way to vent.

    Also I prefer that he takes forever and have wonderful pictures. Then a quick turn around but not fully edited.

    I don't think the OP is ranting about Jason's work, but his customers service.  She indicated that he missed the deadlines he set, and she is waiting to complete her STD.

    I think it's a realistic expectation as a paying customer to hold a professional that you hire to the deadlines they set.  If they can't make the deadlines, fine, but a heads up or short note explaining why would be nice.  The OP indicated that she keeps having to hound him.

    It's not a surprise he is probably overloaded.  Frankly, I don't think he needs to supply 200 images for an engagement session, perhaps this high volume work is putting him behind.

    One thing is for sure, he will probably be raising his prices very soon.

    This isn't the first time I heard something negative about JR. My co workers sister has been waiting over a year for her album nd she picked her pictures fairly quick.

    I have booked Jason also.. I can completely understand being impatient waiting on your photos or album, but on the other hand, as long as he's great to work with and the pictures/album come out great, that's all that matters in the end. Jason also seems very responsive and quick to get back to emails, etc.. so I don't think any of us would ever feel like we've been forgotten about.

    In a side note, and this is in regards to any photographer... if the contract specifically states that they will have your album to you by a certain deadline and they don't meet that deadline, then you can certainly take actions against them. But if they just tell you they will have your album within a month, and it is longer than that, there is nothing we can really do other than wait. So I guess my suggestion would be that if you are afraid that your photographer might take excessively long to deliver your album, or pictures, then ask if they can include a deadline in the contract...now I want to go read over my contract again!

    In the end, I'm sure you will be very happy with all of your photos and hopefully it will be worth the wait!
