pricing hair/makeup

Hi Girls,

I know there is a million posts about hair and make up recs.. however i found a person i would love to use for hair/make up she is charging $100 for each to come to the hotel to do it...

for me i dont mind paying that and its actually just about or cheaper then other people but she want a 5 person min for both (hair/makeup)

i know if i was a bridesmaid and i had to pay 200 for day of i wouldnt be to happy.. what are your bridesmaids paying?

plus what are you tipping them? maybe ill chip in and pay for one of the services for the girls? idk what to do

The last few weddings I was in I paid $200 for hair and makeup and I had to go to the salon! So this is something I would factor in when being a bridesmaid but it might not be what others are ok. I would just send out a quick email to your girls and see what they say. If it's too much for some they might prefer to do their own makeup and/or hair. and then take it from there

I used Jeanine Mangan for make-up and my girls paid $85 for airbrush and she came to us. There was no travel fee for me to pay either. I thought that was reasonable and my girls were good with it. She has a 3 person minimum.

My hair girl charged $95 per girl and traveled to us also. Her name is Patti DelVechhio.

the $100 is for traditional make up.. my wedding is in january so i probably dont need airbrush.. you really only get airbrush for sweat proof right?

I am paying 150 for me (including a trial) and anyone else is 75.  There is a 3 person minumum for her to come to me but that's me and the two mothers.  My group of friends we give the girls the offer to get their makeup done or do it themselves, almost always we do it ourselves.  I personally wouldn't pay $100 just to get makeup done if it's not my wedding.  Plus, I am really picky with makeup and with out a trial for myself I would not feel comfortable having someone else do my makeup.

Hair for me is $50 and each bridesmaid is $50.  Then I am paying a fee of $250 for travel fees.  Make up is separate, all girls doing their own.  I am using Sally DUvall

sally is pretty expensive but awesome..

i guess those prices arent too bad.. and ill put money toward everyone elses .. its dieci salon in livingston so i think im getting a really good deal

My reg. salon girl was $100 per bridesmaid. I thought it was insane. I asked her to lower and she said no - so I got someone else. The new girl was $65 per bridesmaid and $85 for me. She did an awesome job. Only 3 of my 6 girls got their hair done there even with the lower price.
