Hotel suggestions close to Westmount Country Club?

Our wedding's going to be at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, NJ (or West Paterson, NJ, whichever is easier) in January 2011.

We're looking for good hotels close to the reception place. I saw that the Crowne Plaza in Fairfield is close by, but expensive. They're giving us a lot of restrictions and can't guarantee pricing. Plus, the staff are rude.

Does anyone have any hotel suggestions close to the Westmount? Or has anyone gone to a wedding there or is having their wedding there and had a nice hotel experience close by?

A friend of the family researched the Sheraton in Parsippany and Hilton in Short Hills -- both are really nice but I think too far for guests.

I'm getting married there! We checked out a bunch of hotels and liked the Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza. Holiday Inn is the closest. We looked at a few others on that stretch (basically stopped at every hotel we saw lol) but I can't remember anything about the others.

Try the Ramada in Wayne. The woman's name is Marilyn. She is awesome. Breakfast is included as well as a suite for you and FI on the night of the wedding. She is really nice.

I agree with you the staff is rude at the Crowne Plaza. It is by far the nicest of the 3 they recommend. We chose Hampton Inn. They have been very helpful so far and give the bride and groom a free jacuzzi suite the night of the wedding. The worst IMO by far is the Holiday Inn. It needs a good remodel, there are no suites at all and no free room.
