Rehearsal dinner locations near Somerset, NJ

Hello all!

I'm getting married at the Imperia in Somerset, NJ April 23, 2011. I'm looking for an Italian or American restaurant in/near Somerset for a rehearsal dinner. Any recommendations?

Are you looking for a private room? What's your PP price range?

You can most likely look in New Brunswick - lots of options there.  I love Old Man Rafferty's,  Stage Left  or Catherine Lombardi's (can be pricey though), Panicos...

you and your FI can test some of the places out!  Also if you sign up for Borders rewards  (yes the book store) you will be informed when Restaurant.com has 80% off sales so $25 gift certificates cost you $2 and lots of New Brunswick restaurants have gcs on there.

I cannot recommend Vincenzo's enough. We're having ours there and I've been there for group work functions. I think we're paying $24/head. The private room and layout really sold us.

There is a place in Bound Brook that is a BYOB, but they are FANTASTIC.   and there are 2 liquor stores within a mile.   Girasole.      Also, Maggianos is just 2 exits down 287.

There's also O'Conners', if you want something a little more informal, but still very good. It's Irish pub style, but it's got plenty of American style foods.

I 2nd Vincenzos!  That was where my shower was and people keep telling me they never had food that delicious at a shower! Great service and ambiance.

I was going to suggest Maggiano's in Bridgewater as well (15 min drive).

What is the place in Bound Brook (I moved to Somerset about 2 years ago and am still learning my way around here...and love learning about new places to eat at).

Girasole is the place in bound brook.  its BYOB, the dress is business casual, and I suggest reservations. The food is out of this world.  FI go there at least once a month

FYI: Old Man Rafferty's won't do a group on a Friday night and Maggiano's has a pretty high minimum if you want a private room

We had ours at Arthur's Steakhouse in North Brunswick. Some family was coming from Somerset and said it wasn't far at all.
