I need your input. I keep finding different answers.
My father is walking me down the aise. Which side does he stand on? My right or left?

Thanks!

I stood on the left side of my Dad walking down the aisle.  Not sure if that's how it's normally done, but I did that because my Mom stepped out into the aisle once we go to the end to give me away with my Dad. So it made sense for me to be on the left so that I would be in the middle of them at the end.

From what I've heard brides stand on the left while walking down the aisle. Supposedly it's a tradition from the Renaissance era. With having the bride stand on the left, the father would be able to use his sword if any other suitor was trying to take her away. Talk about a protective dad! LOL!

My dad was on my right side, which is what the church director had us do.  That put me on the correct side on the altar.  I wouldn't worry about it now -- your officiant/someone at the church will guide you at the rehearsal.

Someone will let you know.  Jewish tradition the brides side is the right side.  My dad was on my left and my mom on my right, me in the middle.

I walked with both my parents (so I was in the middle), but my dad was on my right side.
