Hi girls, so as Fi and I are visiting venues I decided to share my experience with everyone. We went to the Empire Club in Little Ferry on Saturday. First thing is the club is on a residential street, and did not look like a wedding venue at all. Once I walked inside I was greeted and ask "what party was I going to"(there was a bridal shower and a babyshower going on). They asked us to wait for Arthur, who is the person we had the appointment with. We looked around, everything looked different once we got inside, the place was clean, the bar was nice and big. Nothing to bring out a WOW, but a typical place. Once Arthur came he took us through the rooms(while the showers were going on). This made us feel very uncomfortable as everyone was just looking at us. The ballroom looks small although they say they sit 220 comfortably. He showed us a separate cocktail room up stairs which would be for my wedding party and I, here we would get everything our guest were being served as well as our own bartender. In his office we discussed pricing. Basically for a Sunday in the Fall (September-November) it would be any where from 68-75pp depending on the cut of meat we choose; 18% service 7%tax $350 matire'd fee, $150 captain fee. He also said he would give us a free Venetian table and extend the reception to half an hour. Something to also be mindful of they are going to be having a renovation in the next few weeks so the outside will be diffrent. I really liked this venue, even though it lacked the wow factor , I felt like I you get lots for the money. Also I did speak to him about walking through peoples parties, and he said he would never do this during a wedding and that for weddings it's just one at a time. IF anyone has ad there wedding there please give me some feedback.
Thanks
Re: Review Empire Club in Little Ferry
It certainly did not seem like it was a "cheap" wedding at all. Like you said, it's not like omg, wow look at this place, but it was definitely not wow, this wedding stunk either.
My parents actually got married there in the 80's under a different name! And their wedding was $36 a person (can you imagine?)

Also I do not have a pictures online as the wedding was more then 6 months ago so my photography took them down.
