Final Count Is In! Minus 1 very annoying person.... small vent

*Whew* Our final count (as of today) is done and everyone has a seat! Yay for reaching the minimum!
Just working on finishing the DIY placeacards (they are sand dollars!)
And yes, I have 1 person who just cannot commit to coming.... FSIL! FI's brother aka the BEST MAN's wife!!!!
You may remember from previous posts she is a diva who thinks the world revolves around her. Well she just doesn't know if she is going to be able to make it, though if she does it will be late.... her job is just oh so demanding and stressful! (Yet she just took off 3 days after her dog was neutered to help her "recover"!)
Apparently even though she JUST got married in October, she has forgotten little wedding tidbits such as oh.... paying to cover one's plate. If I cover her head and she doesn't show I am going to be ROYALLY pissed! FI suggested we not pay unless she commits, but FMIL said she would pay to cover FSIL's plate just to "keep harmony in the family". Apparently passive aggressiveness and resentment = harmony.

How annoying! Congrats on getting in the final count! Knowing that it's your FSIL I think you need an angry face next to your "1 Making Us Wait!" in your ticker.

OMG I would be fuming and probably tell her where she can stick it.  ofcourse FMIL would do as yours is doing.  I would just keep it in your back pocket when she has someother  paying event like kids party or something. To prove a point. Im terribly spiteful.

I soo feel your pain! My FSIL (Best Man/FI's brother's wife) did not respond or show up at my shower. She decided to write off everyone in his family because of a disagreement she had with FI's sister. She deleted the whole family from facebook and said that she didn't want her sons to be in the wedding. When she talked to FI she said they could be in it. His nephew's birthday is this weekend and she did not send any invites. We haven't gotten back their response but it should be interesting. I have a feeling that she is going to refuse to come or to refuse to let the boys be in it last minute.

For those that didn't commit but would "try" to make it to the wedding I made a placecard for them and talked to Liz- she said if they showed up day of then we would pay, otherwise not to include them in the count. She said that they would set another place during cocktail hour if they came. Just an option that I thought was great of CC to do. (btw- my "really want to's, but can't commit" didn't come)

Haha ~ you girls are all great!
I can't believe how alike we really are.... I am DEFINITELY holding this one in my back pocket!
I adore my FMIL but really wish she wouldn't always let FSIL use her as a doormat... that only gives permission for mistreatment to continue. =(

PS Allie thats good to know about Liz.... I will keep that in mind!

Oh Heather that's just awful of FSIL!!! But congrats otherwise. I agree, I would hold on to that one. So people are just unbelievable!
