...that people post on boards on TK and make it a point to complain about another board being lame or boring or whatever.  If you don't like a board, then quit posting and/or lurking on it or, if you want to spice things up on a board to make it less "lame," then post something that's interesting.

And, yes, this post is due to recent comments I've read about this board.  Although it's a lot calmer and quieter than it used to be (even when I first started posting less than a year ago) I still get a lot of help from people on here and I do think that, for the most part, people are more honest on this board than on most and I'm grateful for that.  And I'm especially grateful to the MGs (and our one MB - married boy) who have stuck around and continue to offer up a lot of great insight based on their own experiences.

Who and where are these people, Peaches, I will bully them and get them to GBCK.  Haha. but seriously, where are you seeing this because I haven't seen that at all and furthermore feel like the board has been pretty busy lately.  

On a side note: what happened to Halloween, why did you jump the Christmas?  haha

Too funny!   I saw a few comments on the SB board.

And, I REALLY hate to admit this, but I listened to my first Christmas CD of the year the other day because I was organizing all of my CDs and I've been listening to Christmas songs ever since!   I'm just as bad as all the stores that start putting up Christmas displays in the fall.    Go ahead and flame me all you want for this... I know I totally deserve it, haha.  Needless to say, I'm in the Christmas spirit - hence, the Christmas ticker.

OH I am ABSOLUTELY the last person to flame you for this.  Christmas is my favorite holiday!  I was just curious and now I am happy that there is someone out there just as crazy about Christmas as me.  

Also it is very helpful, because every time you post I know how much time I have to save up for H gift.  hehe

Oh and I just found what you were talking about.  And apparently it had nothing to do with this board being lame or the fact that there may or may not be Puppies and Rainbows here, and everything to do with the fact that she wanted people to "oww and ahhh" over her wedding plans.  I got it now.

But if you scroll through, there's another comment on the 3rd page I think (maybe 2nd) from someone else who blatantly calls us lame (unless she has since deleted it).  For whatever reason I got really irked by both those comments.

And YAY!!!  So happy you're with me on the Christmas spirit!!  I actually just bought FI's gift last week.  We decided that since we're paying for the wedding, instead of buying Christmas gifts for each other on top of all our other expenses, we're going to buy each other's wedding rings now and have them engraved so that on Christmas Eve our gifts to each other will be the wedding rings and we get to see what the other person had engraved on each of our rings.

What are you planning on getting your husband?  I love Christmas gift talk!  Haha

Honestly, I hate all the puppy and rainbow type posts.  I don't need someone blowing sunshine up my @$$, if you know what I mean.  If I ask for an opnion or advise, I want it given to me straight.  I find it very refreshing (and nice) that I can get it here.

On a side note...I can't wait for Christmas either!!  even though I am missing half of December while I am away on my HM.
