MG: album question

How long after approving your final album design did it take for it to come in? I approved ours in mid-April (just over 3 months ago) but don't have in any email correspondence how long it's supposed to take. Just wondering if I should send an email asking or wait it out a little longer if most albums take more than 3 months.

We still haven't ordered ours. But we got an email in late September saying that we would need to approve and finalize everything by October 10 in order to get it before the holidays. So that's about two/two and a half months. I was talking to one of my friends on Saturday though and her photographer said it would take 6-8 months from finalization to get the album. So it depends on the photographer.

Hey Amanda... i approved mine on March 17th and had it by May 7th... so you should definitely have yours by now!

Some if it depends upon the album company.  Album binding is one part of the process totally out of your photographers hands.  Depending upon the company it normally is 1-3 months for binding at least with the companies we use.  I can't say I'm familiar with every album out there...   and that's if your photographer had the files 100% ready for printing the day of your approval.  So I'd just assume your book is in the later stages of production.  No harm in asking though.

We got it today - it's a PictoBook and it's amazing - plus I got the mini version of it too... totally worth the wait!
