Questions 2 ask photographers...

I'm starting to meet with photographers tomorrow and I was wondering what kinds of questions I should be asking ?  TIA !

    do they have back up in case of emergency?how many pics are you gauranteed?how many pics can get edited?albums?digital rights to ALL your photos (including edited ones)?how long till you can see them?

    - Payment schedule. - Do they carry back up equipment with them? - Ask to see a full set of pictures from a wedding they have shot ~ this will really help put your mind at ease knowing that you'll get more than just a few good shots - How long will it take to get your proofs after the wedding? - Will you have personal use rights?

    Find out if they are insured in case of any issues with equipment..

    Sorry if it sounds dumb but what kind of insurance do photographers need to have ?

    Sorry to but in, but I'm starting to meet with photographers as well.  Does anyone have any other tips besides general questions to pass along?  Such as absolute necessities with a package, etc.  For example, we aren't too keen with an engagment shoot...

    The package that we got included 2 extra sessions, so we just used the $ from that to get an album upgrade and lower the price. I would also ask what the photographer is going to wear...my parents have recently gone to a wedding where the photographer was wearing jeans and a tshirt, and we wanted to make sure that did not happen to us.

    Will they give you high resolution copies of your pics on a dvd?How did you get into wedding photography?Who will actually shoot the wedding?How many weddings have you shot?
