NWR: party ideas

Since I'm bored I figure I'd ask for ideas here since all of us were or are in party planning mode.  I can't shake it and I am dying to plan something... I like planning as some of you saw on my facebook. My 30th is coming up in March (I know still so far away, I am completely jumping the gun) and I am just in brainstorming mode.   So far my ideas are:Private billiards room at Dave and Busters at Franklin Mills with a cocktail food type dinner, dessert, play card and I could prob afford to spring for the first round of drinks.  Private room at Shogun 27 by me... pretty self explantory (sp?).  Not sure, but could possibly swing open bar.  You only get the roomn for 2 hrs though.Melting Pot again self explantory... not sure about the bar situation yet.Like I said I am brainstorming and pricing things out to see what MH and I can afford, any other fun ideas for about 25 people?

I'm in the 30th birthday party circuit right now (in fact, mine's on Saturday-- ouch!"). Some friends have had parties in the party rooms in their buildings, and in those cases they've supplied booze-- but otherwise, everyone has paid their own way. I wouldn't feel bad if you can't afford to treat everyone! There are a ton of bowling places in the city-- Brooklyn Bowl (just opened-- looks really cool), Bowlmor, Lucky Strike, and the one in Port Authority come to mind. Chelsea Piers? D&B sounds fun. Slate is fun. Roller skating? Dylan's Candy Bar? My husband finally started putting my party together like 2 weeks ago (grrrr....) so it was very last minute and uninspired. We're having it at 675 Bar in Meatpacking. But they have lots of board games and stuff apparently, so it hopefully will be fun?
