Interfaith Precana Continued...repost

As I said in my last post, my fiance is Catholic and I am Jewish.  We are having the ceremony at a Hotel.  Does anyone know about Interfaith PreCana Classes in Bergen County? What is the cost for the classes and how long are the classes?

Thanks Krista! I don't think I'd be ballsy enough to say it in person though, but it's a great answer to the age-old question. ;-)

Ahhh, I can't believe this is the third time you have posted this. The ladies kindly answered you the second time you asked, the answers haven't changed.

ok, just saw your 2ed post answer. If you are not getting married in the church, unless you have a dispensation (i think that is what it is called) it will not be a catholic ceremony, so no precana. Why don't you ask your FI or the pastor you refered to before.

If you're getting married in a hotel, why are you even looking for precana classes to begin with?  You don't need them if you're getting married outside the Catholic Church and you're not getting a dispensation.

My FI's pastor said we may have to take PreCana classes.  But we shall check with him again.

For what though? To have the marriage recognized by the church afterward? There has to be a reason, the church can't just tell you to go and pay for pre-cana for no purpose at all (and if they did, I can't imagine why anyone would listen).
