photo video dilema

we have been shopping for both for a while.  we came across one last night that we really like but is more than we had planned on spending.  but his package includes all the bells and whistles. (thank you, engagement, pre ceremony and brides, honeymoon, parent albums and bride album)when comparing it to others that we have seen, adding the bells and whistles the price is close to the others.  not much more money.now do we take a gamble and go with a cheaper place that isnt familiar with our venue and could be intrusive (wont be getting as many bells and whistles)...or the pricer one that is familiar with our venue and we are sure he will do good work.   if we dont do the bells and whistles the cheaper is 4000..if we do the bells it comes out to like 6300 but we dont get honeymoon and parent albums.  if we go with the pricer place it comes out to 6900.this is so confusing! the deposit for the pricer one is like 2300

Do you want/need the bells ans whistles? I've never even heard of a honeymoon album being included in a price.

I would go with the one you are confident will do a good job. Either option you choose it's a lot of money so you should make sure you're getting your money's worth. What good is hiring the less expensive photog if you're going to have crappy pictures?BTW, what's a honeymoon album?

Go with the one you like but see if they will take some of the bells and whistles out that you don't want which should lower the price.

I don't think the "venue familiarity" should come into play.  Any good photographer will be able to work with their surroundings.

What do you mean by "pre-ceremony and brides"?  Like, prep?  That's pretty standard.  Most photographers will be there for 8-10 hours, which will usually include prep.  I would go for the place that you really like, particularly because the price is close.  I wouldn't worry about familiarity with the venue.  Talent is much more important.

the ones that know the venue seem better in quality and less intrusive.   they add honeymoon pictures to your videoi am going to see if they will take out the honeymoon pics to the video, the love story out of the video and the parent albums.the stress of this! i am stressed out between this and bm that wont go and try on a dress that i hunted to find local to save them time on trying it on before leave for school

That sounds reasonable.  Honeymoon pictures and such in the video don't really add much.If your bridesmaid won't try the dress on, I'd just ask for her measurements and order it based on them.  No reason to get stressed.

i will try that with the BM.   i have time til i get married but once they leave they are gone. i went one day with them but we couldnt agree.    i called the more expensive and the honeymoon and love story in the video are freebies.  the parent albums would knock off like 100 bucks.  i think i am going to vegas..  really stressed out so im going to hit up where britney spears went.  too bad my dress wont be in til december!

Just ask them to take stuff out to lower the price. I'd take out parent albums, too. You can always make them on your own much, much less expensively.

what is a honeymoon album, the photographer is coming with you on your HM???
