help with sleep

Now that the wedding is one month a away I seem to be only sleepy 2-3 hours a week. Its really not working for me and it taking over my ability to function during the day. Is there any home remedies I could do to help this? I don't want to go to the Dr. For a presciption or anything. Can someone help?

I had the same problems.Maybe try:Warm bath right before bedNo wedding stuff 1 hour before bedKeep a pad and paper by your bed so if you think of something you can write it down right away and then put it out of your head

I used to not like wine either and now lets just say I'm a very frequent wine drinker. You just have to get used to it, like beer (i used to hate beer, was totally that freshman girl asking for mike's hard lemondade at every frat party). Start with a white wine, something like a pinot grigio.

Beer has to be light stuff but I agree about wine.  Or start with a zinfandel and work your way up from there.  Riesling is good too if you like things that are sweet and fruity.  MMMMMM Riesling.Damn you people, it's not even 10 and I want wine.

Melatonin that's a great idea. So that's something I can get at CVS or something? The pen and paper thing is a great idea. Whenever I wake up and think of stuff I need to do for the wedding I have to repeat it in my head like 20 times so "I don't forget it" lol. That could be a good thing. Oh the red or white wine thing got ruined for me. For some strange reason when I used to start drinking I started with wine. Not a good idea since I had no clue what my tolerance for alcohol was. So many vivid memories of sickness. Yuck lol. I don't mind pinot gridio that much. Not too much.

It's also possible you are now overtired so you can't get back in to the rhythm of sleeping.  Maybe take a tylenol simply sleep to help you get back in to a sleeping pattern for a night or two.  That really helped me.

I have really bad insomnia so I can sympathize. Start with a bedtime routine. I take a shower at night also to "wash the day away." I use Johnson & Johnson nightime body wash. It is lavender based. Then, you can use the lavender body lotion. Lavender is a soothing, relaxing scent. They also sell lavender spray for your sheets and pillows. All this lavender (which seems like overkill!) won't make you sleep, but will help you relax. The pen and paper idea that pp's have mentioned is also really good.
