Can anyone recc a good place for a rehersal dinner in South or West Orange or very close too? TIA

There is an Italian restaurant at the bottom of Eagle Rock and on Main Street, it is by Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Can't think of the name. My friend had hers there and it was good!

Primavera Ristorante at the Wilshire Grand hotel  in WO has a great room and reasonable prices (considering their regular dinner menu is $$$).   The restaurant is probably one of the best in WO and I ate there many times at their previous location down the road on pleasant valley way, I am having my wedding at the Wilshire and just stopped in to check out the new location and was very impressed. THe only other places I would consier in WO are Due Amici Ristorante (BYO) on Main Street and the Highlawn Pavillion.  I usually go to Montclair for eating out instead of South Orange so I can't be of any help in the SO department. There's a great brew pub with awesome food - the Gaslight Brewery - on South Orange Ave in South Orange.

there are also tons of places in caldwell and montclair, which are both maybe 5 minutes from west orange.  I had my son's christening at italianissimo and they did a fab job, and their food is great! i've been eating there since i was a kid.  What kind of food do you want?

I love Stephanies and Casa Filippo in Caldwell, not far from West Orange and they are on Bloomfield Ave

I love the Highlawn Pavillion. It was the first place FI and I checked out for a wedding...but the room wasn't large enough. Still beautiful and great food.

ah yes - highlaw pavillion another good choice.  I don't know how i forgot about that - i live right down the street!
