Gown Preservation

So after much thought, I have decided to preserve my dress and not sell it. I called the place where I bought my dress, and they said that to clean and preserve the dress, it would be $250. Is that a good price??? If any of you married ladies did this, who did you use and how much did it cost you? Thanks

I'm trying to figure out the same thing!! The girl who did my make-up owns a dry cleaning business with her husband and she said that they do it "at cost" rather than what shops will charge. Their charge is $180 but since I was one of her brides they will do it for $100. I'll probably do that but I'm not sure yet.....hmmm

It depends on how dirty your dress is. The place I'm having mine done at (in Rocky Mount) started at $150 I think and went up from there. And, they said it could take up to 5 months to get it back to me.

I used a phenomenal dry cleaners in Charlotte. Highly recommend them if you are in the area. It took max a month, which is always their timeline. They go through the process at least one a month and the larger or more detailed your dress is the more it would cost I believe. Other than the outrageous, I think my dress was about as big and detailed as possible and it was in the mid to upper 2's. It all happens in house. Long's cleaners.
