Honeymoon Destination Advice

Morning Girls! My FI and I are looking into booking our honeymoon pretty soon.  We want something relaxing, and all inclusive.  We don't want to do Hawaii.  We were looking into Sandals in Antigua, Almond resorts in Barbados, and Excellence resorts in Cancun.I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on these places or any reccomendations for an all inclusive, fabulous resort? Thanks!

Sandals Antigua is beautiful on a great beach (powder white sand and the bluest water) Excellence is awesome (especially Excellence PM) Almond in Barbados does not compare to the other 2. Also Barbados has brown sand and the ocean never gets that clear blue look. I have some pictures if you're interested. Tvlreen at mac.com

I haven't been to any of them, but FYI, here are the Zagat reviews for Sandals and Excellence (there are a bunch of Almonds in Barbados, don't know which you meant).  It sounds like Excellence is MUCH nicer...Sandals AntiguaRooms    Service    Dining    Facil.    Cost19201720441“Bright, airy and about as characterful as an all-inclusive can get”, according to some, this Dickenson Bay spot with a “beautiful” but “crowded” beach draws mixed reviews for service and food that’s alternately rated “top-notch” or “not gourmet”, and for facilities that “should be better”; but many agree the all-suite Mediterranean Village makes it “one of the nicer Sandals resorts.”Excellence CancunRatings & ReviewRooms    Service    Dining    Facil.    Cost27272628449With a deluge of dining options – namely eight restaurants and 10 bars – and an abundance of activities, including yoga, hiking, snorkeling and Spanish lessons, guests at this all-inclusive, all-suites resort on the Riviera Maya feel like they’re “part of the rich and famous” on “a cruise without the ship”; rooms that feature furnished patios and whirlpool tubs, as well as the “excellent” service, live up to the resort’s name; N.B. no children under 18.

Not sure what your budget looks like... but the AI in Mexico are wonderful and very reasonably priced!  I have seen poor reviews on Sandals and I believe Barbados is very expensive.  My FI and I are headed to the Cozumel Palace for 5 days then to Excellence Playa Mujeres for 6 days.  We got a great deal and have heard wonderful reviews on both!
