color of dress

i never thought i had to think about color of dress too.... i found THE dress the only problem is i dont know about the color.. diamond white or white... i know its really not a big difference but im worried about white being too white and the diamond white not being white enough... lol,God i am the WORST at making decisions... i turn to theknot boards to help me again :)i finally made a decision about the e-pics. i have decided to do them, as long as the photog has a time available...that only took me a week to decide..here's the dress by the way.... i LOVE IThttp://www.casablancabridal.com/collections/view/2/28tia

I would go with diamond white. The photo on the website is in ivory and to me that looks pretty white. White White might be a little stark and if you don't want it to be "too white" diamond white is probably the best option. Did you ask if the store had swatches of the fabric? Thats always an option.

Diamond white. It will definitely white enough... I doubt ANYONE will tell the difference. It won't be as stark either.

I wore ivory and the bridal shop told me that most brides do and people just can't tell.  She said regular white is just too bright on most people.

I LOVE that dress....it was one of the first I tried on!! I would say go with Diamond White. I ended up going with a Maggie dress and got it in Diamond white...trust me it is white enough, but not that stark white. I have medium/light skin and tried the diamond white on in Feb when I had NO tan and it looked really good against my skin tone. True white can have a bluish tint that isnt flattering on most. HTH!!

Ditto. Diamond white is most certainly white enough. Unless someone is holding up a white swatch to you all day, no one is going to think it's not white. My dress is ivory/champagne and even that looks white when it's not next to other white dresses. You're overthinking it. =)

Can you take a picture of you with a gown in each color?  Sometimes the pictures make it look different; like the flash reflects a different hue in photos.  I had that experience with a gown I tried where the white actually had like a blue undertone to it.  I discussed with other boutique owners and they said I wasn't crazy :).  That helped me make the decision of which dress not to get. Also, think about the color you did try on and consider just going with it.  The sample dress I tried on had a rosey pink center in every flower aplique (sp?) but it looked so "perfect" on me that I just didn't want to take a chance with any other color that wouldn't compliment me the same way.    You don't want surprises with your wedding gown and I prefer safer than sorry later on.  Good luck!

diamond whiteI was trying to see your pic (very small), but I still say dw. I wore ivory and nobody can tell the difference.  Plus it was much nicer, than harsh, on my pale skin.Lisa Beth

diamond white looks white in pictures but no so stark white against your skin.  i'd go diamond white.  even my GOLD dress looked white in some pics (okay, well maybe ivory, but still... they are very subtle hue differences).
