Venue Help - Uptown Charlotte

Hello Everyone - We're trying to find a nice reception venue in uptown Charlotte that isn't going to break the bank. I keep getting quotes for around $100 a person at all the hotels. I could get married at the Biltmore for that! We really like the Roof With a View, anyone have any experience with this one? Any other venue ideas? Thanks!

    I think they (RWV) are $3000 for rental space alone.  Have you looked into the museum of craft and design or african american museum?  What about the Dunhill Hotel on Tryon St/6th St.?

    also, grace on brevard and the great stella event center (sp?).  big chill is right on the other side of I-277 off of morehead street.

    my venue is the levine museum of the new south- you bring in outside catering, so you can keep costs down! I am doing my wedding for much lower than $100 per head, I'd be happy to pass on my other vendors as well! :)
