random gifts on registry

so I was registry stalking today and noticed that there's towels and a shower curtain on my registry that we didn't register for. At first I thought maybe it was a mistake, but our $9.99 bathroom rug came off too. Unless someone really only got us a bathroom rug, then they bought us those things too.  Just weird how people pick things out for you, even when you have the same items on your registry, they pick a completely different color/design.I must say though, I'm digging the shower curtain. lol So I won't mind if they bought it for me. However, they bought black towels...I feel like black is just so quick to fade.

Wow! I've never seen that! Glad to know someone is stalking to and mines all my moms fault! Yay for cool unregistered for shower curtains love that they know what you will like!!!

they probably bought things for themselves and the cashier didn't seperate them from your registry stuff.  If they purchase together, then they will appear on your registry as if they bought them for you.

We got black towels from linens and things once and I swear I washed them 100 times and the fuZzys would not stop coming off!! They never faded though. I had to bring them back bc of the fuzz though. Ha

ya I know that Rosanna, which is why I thought it was weird. The only other thing that came off my registry (in the past few days/week) was the bathroom rug.  Not to sound ungrateful, but I would be surprised if someone just bought me my $9.99 bath rug.

Hmm I never thought of that rosanna I've never had that issue I had the registry paper and I always have to buy something for me while registry shopping I'm that one for you one for me person lol

Maybe they are combining it with other bath-related stuff not necessarily on your registry or something...who knows. I doubt someone would get you mismatching accessories, especially if there are other towels on your registry.

ya, we have a shower curtain on our registry too, that hasn't been bought yet.

is that for BBB?  We had someone buy a Ped Egg thing, and it showed up on my registry.  lol.  Shower came..and no Ped Egg.  lol.

LOL, that is so weird, now I'm wondering if my stuff showed up on anyone elses registries and they just never mentioned it when I've purchased things!

Couldve been for themselves, as pp suggested, or maybe they thought you would like it. We got a few things not ON our registry that then showed up on it after being purchased.

Where are you registered?  I didn't realize that items would be added when purchased - doesn't that ruin any chance of surprises?  Black towels will be nice if they match everything else - you can use them as your decorator towels.

The rug could be for a wishing well.  Or someone is putting together a strange package of gifts LOL

Chels-That actually happened to me. If someone buys you something that wasn't on your registry they can add it to your registry so someone else can't buy the same thing. It happened with towels and glasses that I got. I am sure someone bought you the rug and other stuff too.. BTW it WAS NOT me!! LOL :-)
