Just picked up my dress today! Anyone had alterations done by this store? I'm a little nervous because I haven't heard good things about David's alterations, in general.

I haven't heard anything specifically for THAT DB store, but I have heard that in general, alterations done by them are way over priced, and usually it's better to go somewhere else.

Hopefully some other ladies will have some good insight for you though.

I heard the same thing about DB (where I bought my dress from) and did my alterations elsewhere.  I think I ended up much better on quality/price.

I know there are girls on the board in your area though -- they may have independent alterations people to reccomend!

I did my alterations at David's in Wilmington, but I only had to have a bustle.  I thought it was a fair deal, and they did a really good job.  The lady was very nice.

i did my alterations at davids in winston they are quite high but the quality was good they are super nice as well

I bought my dress there, but had the alterations done elsewhere. I wanted the train removed and they wouldn't do it.
