I have nothing new to offer, but I agree with another poster that the Oakeside Mansion in Bloomfield could definitely accomodate your requests.

Hi! I'm getting married at David's Country Inn in Hackettstown, which is an old Inn set up like a Mansion now. It has a very homey feeling.

I don't have recommendations for places, but I went to a wedding in an old estate home last year in Ma, and while the place was beautiful, they did what you are suggesting, and had everything and everyone scattered in different rooms, and I found it annoying as a guest.  They also didn't have assigned tables, which was extra crappy when you didn't know anyone, you are even more confused as to where you should sit.  I would honestly re-think your plan and try to think of what would be most comfortable for your guests.  There are reasons why there aren't too many venues that do this.

My venue, The Stony Hill Inn, is a historic house in Hackensack, NJ and they definitely cater to Kosher weddings.  http://www.stonyhillinn.com/If you decide to call, ask for Bob.  He's great.

the hermitage in ho-ho-kus (bergen county, nj) is a historic large house. the outside looks cool and its on like 5 acres. i've never been inside. also keep in mind that there is a huge church and school across the street where you could probably park.they have a website.

Unfortunately, our guest list is 200 at least.  I have a huge family.
