Bamboo centerpieces

Hey ladies! I'm in need of pictures or advice for centerpieces.  My idea is to have a 8-10 inche hurricane with bamboo stalks in it with stones or marbles and tealights around them.  Has anyone been to a reception that had bamboo centerpieces or used bamboo for theirs?  How would be the best way to go about getting bamboo?  Anyone have any pictures?

How tall are you thinking for the bamboo?  Most bamboo I've seen is much taller than the vessel it's in.  Like a 4ish" dish with 12-15ish" bamboo.  For a 10" hurricane are you thinking of 3' bamboo?

I feel like I've seen bamboo for sale in flower stalls/farmers markets but I can't put my finger on where.

I agree with mary, check farmers markets.  Bamboo grows very fast. So it is possible that farmers grow it around here.  You could also check online.

Like Mary said, I normally see bamboo in very large pieces. However, getting them large then cutting them down yourself might be cheaper.
