Gifts for Parents

So FI's parents are hosting an engagement party for us this Saturday on their farm in VA. We weren't expecting anything too major, but they have really done it up.  My parents have also put a lot of time and effort into this party and stuff for the wedding.

So we want to get them something.  I have no idea what though.  And ideas?  Also, we should give the gifts to them this weekend as a thank you for the huge party they are throwing us or if we should wait till the wedding.

Thanks girls!

Gift card to a favorite restaurant?
    And a movie?

Hmmm a gift that is related to the wedding?

    Nice bottle of wine?

DH and I gave our parents and grandparents nice frames with engagement pictures in them as our wedding gifts to them.  They all seemed to really like them.

I got both sets of parents digital photo frames. Then when the wedding pictures come in, I can send them both SD cards loaded with pictures to pop into the frames. I'm planning on giving it to them at the rehearsal dinner.

If I were in your situation, I might bring a nice bottle of wine to the host family (& maybe your parents, too). And then get another gift (like picture frame or gift card or maybe something engraved) for the wedding.
