Vendor Reviews - long

We just got back yesterday from our honeymoon and had a great time. Below are my vendor views. The vendor titles are clicky if you want to check out their websites. I'll edit this posting once I get the pictures back from the photographer.

Treyburn Country Club - A

Everything here was fabulous and with a member sponsor the space was free. The events coordinator Aimee was very easy to work with. She emailed me a lot of questions and we met a few times to go everything. The food was excellent, everything was set up as it should be, and Aimee kept everything on time. She really went above and beyond. She did everything from day of coordination, printing the table numbers, and even printed our escort cards. She really made it so I didn't have to worry about anything. The patio outside was gorgeous for the ceremony and the reception was in the dinning room that has 3 walls of floor to ceiling windows. The only drawback is that Treyburn is in North Durham in the middle of no where. It was about a 20 minute drive for the closest hotels.

TJDJ Music - Tim Hazell - A+

We used Tim for music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. Tim was so easy to work with and did a great job. He was always very fast to reply to me. He gave us the option of using groove shark to make play lists of music we liked for the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. We did the play list only has a  guide to what we liked and wanted him to use his judgment on what to play based on the crowd. We also gave him a strict do not play list and he stuck to that. The best part was he emceed the event without being cheesy or over the top which was important to us. He was much less expensive than the big companies we contacted especially since he did the ceremony and reception music.

Tre Bella Florist - A+

Becky did an amazing job with the flowers. She is the sweetest thing ever! I might be biased because she went to college with my husband (so weird to say that!) so I had met her before we were using her as a florist. She was great at working with our budget and made suggestions on ways to change things to stay within the right price. It also was really nice that she had done weddings at Treyburn before and knew how everything was going to lay out and made recommendations based on previous weddings there. I also don't know much about flowers and she explained everything and show pictures to me so I really could visualize what things would look like.

Carolina Livery Transportation - A

We had a town car pick us up as our departure vehicle. It was nice that you could pay for just a half hour. They showed up early and took Matt and I to our hotel and were very professional.

Wavelengths - A

I went to wavelengths for my hair and make up the day off. The owner Sherry did my hair and did a great job. Brittany did my makeup and did a great job making me look good but without having it look like I have a ton of makeup on. She was very receptive to what I wanted. Other stylist did 3 of my bridesmaids hair and they all really liked what was done. The best thing was they had everyone done at the correct time so we all were able to make it to Treyburn on time.

Kate was easy and great to work with. I'll update this section once I get the pictures back.

I feel like I'm missing something but can't think now of what it is. I will add it if I think of anything else.

My brother's girlfriend is a pastry chef so she made the cake for us. She only does them for family/friends. I did get my cake topper from etsy seller CountrySquirrelsRus and love it! It's two little birds like these ( <---- clicky).

Some of my other favorite etsy sellers that I used for the wedding are:

thepunkinpatch - for personalized totes (<---- clicky) for my flower girl and ring bearer

designsbyTami - for a bouquet charm (<---- clicky) for my bouquet, used to have a picture of my grandfather and dad who have both passed away

bagonebagshop - for wristlists  (<---- clicky) for gifts for my bridesmaids
