dumb, but did you have DH sign TY cards

or just sign his name?  People won't comment on the absence of his handwriting, will they?  It will slow me down if I have to wait for him, lol.

No, Mike did not sign them and I don't think it's a big deal.

since my husband was in the hospital while I was writing the cards, he did not sign them and even if he wasn't I doubt he would have wanted to anyway. I don't recall ever getting a thank you card where both people signed the card. Usually it's the woman who writes and signs them as far as I can tell from the ones I received/

Traditional etiquette actually says that if you write the cards, his name shouldn't be signed on it by either of you.  So I think it is fine to sign his name.  My husband wrote the cards to his family friends (and signed my name) and I wrote the cards to my family and friends (and signed his name).  I think that's pretty typical.

we split them in half.  he did some, i did some.  i just signed "love allison & bill", and he signed "love bill & allison".  easy peasy.
