TIPPING help

Does anyone have an article or a link they are using as a guideline for tipping?  I keep hearing/finding different information and it's all very confusing! TIA

    This is what I saved from a previous post, but it seems kinda pricey to me:Limo/Shuttle Bus: $20 per driverHair & Make-up: 15%- 20% of the totalFloral Delivery: $20 per locationPhotographer & Assistant: $100, $50 REMEMBER, they still have work to do after thisVideographer & Assistant: $100, $25 same for the videoCeremony Musicians: $25-$35 per musicianBand Tip: $100 for band leader and $25 per musician, $25 extra for musicians who also played during cocktails.DJ tip: $100Maitre D: $100-$300Bartenders: $40 per bartenderBanquet Manager (catering hall): Nice gift. A good bottle of wine or a gift certificate.Petty Cash for the event for DOC: $300 in small billswedding coordinator: gift certificate/ small gift

    I don't agree with that list. Dj is with you for 4 hours. Photographer 8-12 hours. Why should they get the same tip? Also why pay the photographer assistant more than the video assistant? I think it also depends on what you paid for the services to begin with.  If I got a $100 haircut (never), I would think I would be expected to tip more that if I got a $20 haircut.
