Rehearsal Dinner in Red Bank

Hi -  I'm helping my FI's parents pick a place.  Our church is in Red Bank (St. Anthony's) and we want to stay local.  Any suggestions besides Buona Sera?  It's gotta have open bar and accomodate 30ish people.TIA!

our RD was at La Pastaria which is BYOB - but great perfect otherwise!  what about Molly Pitcher or Oyster Point?  my IL's were also considering having it in one of the smaller rooms at the Shadowbrook.

I love Pasteria... but BYOB won't work for my crowd lol (FFIL's request).  I'll look into Shadowbrook.  Didn't think of that. What is a good price too?  I'm assuming open bar is going to make the price per person kinda high.

I know you said suggestions besides Buona Sera but its hands down the best imo. We had ours there and it was awesome. Red - the steakhouse not sure if it has a private room. Asking mh but he is not really helping much.

my IL's planned on their own so i am not 100% sure on pricing but i think shadowbrook was around $50-$60pp.  i am not sure if that included open bar or if we were going to have a consumption bar.  pastaria was around $40pp for a friday night.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Nauvoo Grille in Rumson and it was GREAT!  The room was perfect (they have private ones upstairs) the food was delicious and the service was very good.  It was reasonably priced as well.I highly recommend it.

Oh and we had open bar (you can do cash bar if you want) and our party had about 35 people.

I'm going to suggest Nauvoo Grill. I'm not normally a fan of Basil T's (besides their beer). Everytime I go in there I stare at the menu waiting for something to pop out at me but I'm never wowed by the menu selection, but maybe the menu will be different for parties. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll send them my FIL's way!

We are having ours at Nauvoo Grill too- the upstairs room is beautiful  and you have your own bar and bathrooms.  Also try The Raven and the Peach and Rue 57 in Rumson (a little pricier though).  We had our engagement party upstairs at The Downtown : you get the entire huge upstairs room, and open bar or pay-per-drink.  Everyone loved it there.

Sorry I meant UNDICI in Rumson, not Rue 57- that's in Manhattan lol.  I'm losing my mind a little in this wedding home-stretch.

Yes, I'm Danielle also :)We're doing the ceremony and reception both at the Molly Pitcher. No theme, but the Rehearsal Dinner will be a Costume Party!  I can't wait.  For the wedding, we are just doing little "touches" of Halloween, like the overnight bags, the cake, the signature drink, and the favors. Other than that, no Halloween colors or anything. Are you doing anything Halloween?  I love the colors in your bio! That will be gorgeous for that time of year.  We're hoping it will be warm enough and nice enough to have an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hr.  Fingers crossed!!  Where are you doing your pics- in Red Bank???  Maybe we will see you guys on the street!  We plan on getting some fun pics with little Trick or Treaters around town.....

not really having anything halloween during the reception... everything will be fall themed - lots of leaves and favors with be caramel apples. however, we are allowing guests to dress up for the after party in the hotel bar.  I'd like to take pics at riverside gardens park.  then we are off to Staten Island for more pics (fiance wants pics at his firehouse in SI, plus pics at our hall)

p.s. i like your signature drink idea... have you decided what kind of drink it will be?  I am trying to get my hall to agree on 4 signature drinks (Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue)!

We were going to do pics there too!  Instead we decided to do them on the back deck of the Molly- same river view and much more convenient.   What time are your pics?  Ours will be around 2-4pm.  We will wave to you from down the river!!!

Aw, that's really cute!  Ours is called "the Vampire's Blood Sangria".....classy, right?  LOL.Our colors are espresso brown and different shades of red- trying to keep it kinda creepy and dark.  The centerpieces will be tall vases with deep red flowers and huge twisty branches coming out, and hanging votive candles.  :)I love the fall theme- and LOVE the idea of caramel apple favors!
