How long do engagement shots take?

I'm getting my engagement photos done this weekend and we're trying to plan out when we're going to see our families in NJ since we live out of state.  How much time should we allot for photo taking?  How long did you photos take?  Was there anything that made them take longer?  TIA!

I would ask your photographer.  I would imagine that it varies from one photographer to the next.

I would agree with pp that it would depend on your photographer and location, I assume.  But, ours took about an hour.

Ours took 4 hours. I would leave the photographer plenty of time. Sometimes it might take them an hour to get into their groove.

It really depends.  I would recommend asking your photographer. Our friend took our engagement photos and we were in the city all day from 9am-5pm.  But we stopped to eat twice and were just walking around Central Park.

I would definitely check with your photographer. Our took 2 hours but we stayed very local for our shoot and didn't travel very far.

I think it varies on what you want done.  Ours took a little over an hour on location.

It absolutely depends, ask your photographer, ours took just about 1 hour.
