Bridesmaids at Nonchalance

Hey girls---has anyone gotten a bridesmaid dress there or had any type of experience there? I want to get a Jim Hjelm dress for my girls and saw they sell their dresses at the store. I read some mixed reviews online, so I thought I'd ask the pros. Let me know ladies--thanks for all of your help in advance!!

i got a bm dress there once~ the place was like an absolute zoo.  my girls wore jim hjelm's dresses~ we tried them on at a local bridal shop and then ordered them from pearl's place in new orleans for half the price :)

Hi, I've been to Nonchalance twice.  My recommendation is if you plan to try on dresses, go in the morning.  I went in at 11am on a Saturday & there was no one there until about 1pm.  I've had a good experience so far.  We ordered Jim Hjelm, Alvina Valenta, and Lazaro. I wanted to order their dresses through Pearl's Place, but they never got back to me when I asked them for price quotes and information after I contacted them twice.  So I decided to go through Nonchalance.RK Bridal in the city offers a discounted price online for those designer lines as well. Hope this helps!

Got my dresses there...as pp said, go in the morning (make an appointment).  They have a lot of dresses and give a discount (i think 25%?) if you are getting more than 3? 4? dresses (I forget the exact number because I have 9 bridesmaids so i was nowhere near not making the cut off). They were helpful and the girls there are super nice...the only thing is that most of the girls there are super young (one girl helping me was telling me how she just ordered her prom dress)...and young does not, of course, mean bad...but they seemed to make some silly mistakes, such as accidentally charging 2 of my BMs the cost of my flower girl dresses so they had a balance in the end when they had thought they paid it all off.As with most dress places, i would recommend NOT using their alteration services as they are always overpriced.

i liked the selection at this place, many dresses to look at, and the sales girls were very nice, you can take pictures, try on whatever, etc.  not the brightest sales people, but very nice.  we found our dresses here, but bought online and saved 50% (highly recommend).

I went there to order a BM for a wedding I was in last year.  I went on a Friday afternoon and it was nice and quiet there. They had a nice big selection and I think we got 20% off too.  I did my alterations somewhere else b/c the pricing was preyty high and I didn't live that close to the store either.

I had a good experience there. They have a big selection. We went on a sat morning and it was empty in there. We ended ordering the dresses from different stores because my girls are OOT.

So far, I have had a good experience there. The first time I went, it was an absolute zoo. That was on a saturday. The subsequent times I went, I went on Wednesday evenings (they are open late on Wednesdays). It's quiet then. I would recommend going on a Wed evening. They have a huge selection there.

I didn't have the greatest experience and I've ordered twice from them.  First, the first dress came WAY late- on the day I had to have it altered.  They were not accomodating on the phone and seemed to forget that I have a receipt telling me when the dress would be in.  I wouldn't send my bridesmaids there.  And I live in the area.

Both of my daughters used Nonchalance. I thought they had a terrific selection & their prices were excellent. For younger daughter's upcoming wedding, my other daughter (MOH) ended up ordering her dress at a salon in San Diego where she lives. At Nonchalance the dresses ended up costing about $220 apiece. In San Diego, my daughter could not even find a single salon that carried the BM dress (it was an Alvina Valenta) & she had to pay over $300 for it, including tax, plus she wasn't even able to try the dress on before ordering it. We were quite satisfied with Nonchalance in every way.
