I'm sure MTV allows garbage like this to happen because it boosts their ratings. If not for incidents like this, people probably wouldn't watch the show at all.

I wanted to cry for taylor when that happened. She totally rocked her performance on the subway though. Strong girl! oh yeah... and Kanye is a douchebag... seriously, i am going to delete him from my ipod.

Yes he did it before...I forget who actually won the award that he so gracefully felt he deserved but when the other band/artist won he ran up on stage in a beligerant tirade going on and on about how he spent $1M on his video and it was better, blaze blah so yeah he's an asss & this really isn't that shocking to me that he did this (effed up yeah shocking no) Google 'kanye west outbursts' there's tons of them - he acts like a stupid child all the time, did you ever see the episode of Punk'd with him on it? Or a few different interviews he's done that have been publicized, he rarely acts appropriate - and let's not forget about the Hurricane Katrina "Bush does not like black people" thing he said - he's just so ignorant and is lucky he's an extremely talented musician (IMO) or else his 15 mins would've been up loooonnnng ago

It's a douchey thing to do at any awards show ... but come on, guy, it's the MTV awards. It's primarily aimed at an audience of 16-22 year olds or something like that. It's the Moon Man, not the frickin' Nobel Prize.

agree with you Seabass, just wrong on so many levels.  the older i get the more i realize that NOTHING surprises me anymore.  everything time i think i've seen it all, something comes along and tops that.
