Spray Tanning...

Any recent brides that have spray tanned for the wedding? Could it run and stain your dress if you dance all night and get a little sweaty!?

This has been discussed on here 1000's of times...if I remember correctly the general consensus is usually that the booth tans suck and can/will run on your dress. The spray tan done by hand (which a knottie on here does but I haven't seen her in forever) is better and should be done a couple days prior to the wedding I personally wouldn't take the chance of looking weird, discolored, orange anything - being streaky, etc. But I also believe that you should stick to your normal look on your wedding day (I'm not tan at all and didn't fake bake/spray prior to the wedding) the way I looked was the way I was (of course pro hair/makeup but that's it)

I just got a trial spray tan last week at Sunsation, that's where Koriann used to work. Her old boss, Roseann, did the spray. The next day I thought I looked slightly orange, but everyone said it looked good...including FMIL, who is VERY honest. 2 days after the spray I had my first fitting, and I thought I looked SOO much better with the hint of color. I'll definitely be going for another spray tan before the wedding, probably 3 or 4 days before.

i did a spray tan for my wedding.  i had it done at the jacqueline pasquale salon in edgewater - she did a fabulous job!  my wedding was on saturday and i had the tan done the wednesday before.  it held up great - i probably could have gotten it done tuesday and been ok.  after my wedding i did have some staining on my dress on the straps and under my arms (sorry if it sounds gross!) i guess from sweating.  i had my dress cleaned by wedclean after 7 months and you really can't see the stains.  if i hadn't waited so long to clean it im sure it would have come out better.

I also went to Jaqueline DePasquale in Edgewater, I went the day before my wedding. The tan was georgous for the day of, my skin looked great, and it was only $35.00. My dress got just a little staining on the inside, nothing on the outside, but just a tiny bit inside, so no big deal. I guess I could have gone a day or two ealier, but I had so much going on that week it was the only time I could fit it in.
