MG's - how did your lipstick hold up?

Hi girls! I'm coming up quick on my wedding and haven't had time to research a good lipstick to buy so I can reapply after my makeup girl leaves. Do you ladies have recs on any that held up through the toasting, eating, etc? Drugstore or high end brand recs welcome! Thanks!

I am not a MG but I am in love with Loreals infallable line.  THey have a 6hr lipgloss that is fabulous. It stays on pretty good through eating and drinking although to keep the nice juicy color you would probably have to reapply it.  It doesnt come off but it gets dull.  But it doesnt feel caked on like some other long wears I have worn.

Ask your makeup girl to give/sell you the lipstick and gloss she uses so that you can reapply it yourself. Thats what i did. I think i only had to reapply twice, once right before the ceremony, bc we took pics before, and MAYBE i added some before the reception but i doubt it.Oh and it was MAC lipstick and gloss

reapply reapply reapply!  I usually use a dark liner first because that stays even when the lipstick/gloss is gone.  For most of us, even if our makeup is holding up, face looks washed out in pictures without some lip color.

Ditto pp and reapply! I purchased the lipstick and gloss my makeup girl used on me and reapplied whenever I needed too that night.

im not a huge lipstick person, but i like benefit and dior lipsticks with tinted gloss over and i just always keep reapplying the gloss.

I second the Loreal Infallible line. I just got the lip liner to compliment the gloss I picked and they look great together and stay on very well. I agree with pp that the gloss goes away but the color stays.

I bought a lipstick, liner and oil absorbing powder from my make-up girl.   It was great......me and bridesmaids all used it though out the day.

I bought the lipgloss the MUA used at the trial, I reapplied once total, I just can't be bothered reapplying, it's gonna come off.
