Anyone good with powerpoint 07

I have an existing ppt that I just want to turn into an automated slideshow (just have the slides cycling through while I talk).  I click the Animations tab, I change "Advance slide" from "On Mouse Click" to "Automatically after 0:03" and when I start the slideshow, it just doesn't go on to the 2nd slide.  Online help is no help.  What am I doing wrong?

Did you apply that setting to all of the slides? On my version of ppt it has an option to "apply to all slides" but if you don't have that option you may have to go in and adjust it for each slide manually.

Nope did that too... aarg!  And even if I didn't, the first slide should still move into the next.  WTF?

I tried on mine at work and it worked, I have 03 but try and see if you have this option. Slide show Set up show There's a "advance slides" make sure "use timings, if present" is clicked and not "manually" I tried it both ways and if I go to manually it doesn't advance
