A few dress questions...

Just got back from my 2nd fitting and the timeline the seamstress gave me is driving me a little batty.  3rd fitting: October 8th (if I lose more weight)Final fitting: October 15th (coming home with me!)Wedding: October 23rdCurious as to how many fittings you had and how far in between the fittings were.  The intial consultation was July 6th, first fitting was August 6th.  Does this all sound reasonable? And for those that knit or had a similar dress button issue as I do... I wanted to know where I could get a looping needle?  I am not sure what you call it, sorry if I sound stupid.  I have a lot of buttons on the back and this needle will help whoever is buttoning me up do it quicker vs. by hand (still time consuming but should help). Thanks!

I just posted above in another dress post (Enza Bridal) I had 2 fittings for my october wedding last year but I only needed a bustle made. Your fittings sound reasonable as far as time goes. It sounds like the seamstress is trying to cover her bases in case you lose more weight which is where the battyness on her end comes in. You get your dress early. I picked mine up 2 days before my wedding! As for the looping needle I think it's crochet hook you may need? You can actually find them in michaels, ac moore or walmart. I'd buy a few sizes (hooks are different on each one) to cover your bases with your buttons.

I had 2 fittings with about 2 weeks in between, possibly more - took my dress home at my second fitting, 2 weeks before my wedding.

I've been having fittings for my dress since April (since it's being made for me), but generally they've been about a month apart.
