Aruba Review

Hey ladies and gentlemen,  I was in Aruba this week on vacation and figured I'd give a review  for anyone who was thinking about going.  Now we didn't stay at an all inclusive. We stayed at the Radisson Hotel and had a great time.  I was very pleased with the hotel. The service was very good, the rooms were nice and the beach location is probably the best.  The great thing about this place was you didn't have to wake up at like 5am to reserve a hut on the beach, lol.  You just had to go at 4pm to reserve it for the next day which was great.  For Activities, we didn't do as much as usual, but would highly recommend the following: 1.  Kuku Konuku party bus- Best party bus!! the lady is absolutely insane, but it was a blast and you get like sippy bottles that you buy for $6 bucks and for $5 you fill the whole thing up with anything you want and then you can use your free drink cards to fill it up the rest of the night.  Let's just say for $11 you will be trashed.  It's 60 p/p and you get dinner and all the drinking you want.  2. Horseback Riding (The Gold Mine Ranch)-  I had never ridden a horse and this was fun.  My legs and back were sore the next day, lol, but it was worth it.  We went through the gold mine ranch which was the most affordable. 3. Snorkeling - We went to baby beach for snorkeling and it was really cool.  They were a lot of different variety of fishes and people were feeding them so there were soo many around us.  4.  Rent a Jeep - We rented a jeep for the week and it was worth it.  We were able to go wherever we wanted.  We went offroading and went to a couple of caves on the other side of the island.  One of the cool caves is the Fontein and the Quadikiri.  Restaurants: Highly recommend the following1. Aqua Grill 2. Papiamento 3. Madame Jannete 4. Cafe Rembrant - This is if you want to have a cheap night, great food and HUGE drinks for only $6HTH!

Glad you guys had a great time! I'm just wondering, how do you feel the cost of the trip compares to an all inclusive? Do you think it all evens out or was it much more or less expensive?

Dana I wouldn't recommend AI especially in Aruba.  You have so many great restaurants  that offer a range of different foods all within walking distance from where the hotels are located.  For places like Papiamento and Madame Jannet,  Pinchosl the cab ride is around $10 or take the local bus.  I would think its less expensive than AI as the food in most of these places is much  cheaper compared to what you get at the hotel
