Need help finding wedding gift

I am attending a wedding soon in which they have requested "presence only" - no gifts.  They are older and very wealthy.  However, I would like to get them something unique and nice for a wedding gift.  I am thinking of beautiful hand blown artisan wine glasses or a hand blown glass piece. Do you know of any shops in northern Jersey(preferably in Hoboken/JC area) / NYC where I can find this?Alternatively, do you have any suggestions for a unique gift for a couple that already has everything?FYI - I don't have time to order online - I've got 1 week!

If they requested no gifts I would make a donation in their names to a charity that you know has meaning to them or, if you dont know what that would be, one that has meaning to you. If you really feel the need to bring something there is a store in West Orange called CBL fine art which probably has something similar to what you are looking for.

I would feel awkward going to a party empty handed but if they specifically requested no gifts I would probably honor that. I know I hate getting "unique" things that don't go with any of the other things in our condo and that's probably what they're trying to avoid, aside from not needing anything. I would probably just get a card and maybe a really nice bottle of wine/champagne and call it a day.

I think that a nice bottle of wine/champagne and a card would be good. Or the charitable donation if you know that they support a certain cause. Or you could just bring a card and then offer to take them out to dinner at some point in the future, or host them at your house for a nice meal. I thought of this website when I first read your post, but since you don't have time to order it's a moot point: http://www.indigonight.com/- you pick a background and some text if you want, and you get a print of the position of the stars in the night sky on a date and time that you specify. But that also ties into what Seabass was saying, about the risk you take when you give someone a home decor item (because you may not know their tastes).

i learned the hard way not everyone apprecaites a bottle of wine, esp. wine snobs.... usually can't go wrong with great champagne however.  i like the charity idea too, otherwise i'd just go and respect the no gift request.
