Central Jersey Vendor Recommendations

Hi, I am new to the knot board and would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations for photographers/videographers/DJ's in the Cetnral Jersey area.  I definitely want quality, but I am also not wanting to break the bank.  I have looked into The Pros, their prices seem VERY fair, but I have read not the greatest reviews about them and want to keep my options open.Any suggestions would be very helpful!ThanksA

Welcome! I'm using John Arcara Photography in Red Bank (www.johnarcara.com). Our wedding isn't until February 2010 but he did our engagement photos and they came out great. Highly recommended.

We are using http://www.inanyeventproductions.com/ and http://soundsofmusicnj.com/We saw Anthony our DJ at another party and had a great time and his prices are really good. With the Pros, the company is so big you are going to hear the most complaints. If a typical photographer does 20 shoots a years and the Pros do thousands, you might hear one complaint about the lone photographer but 100 about the Pros which percentage wise means the Pros did better.

I am using Abacus for both they are nice and we got a great deal. Don't use the Pros I heard horrible reviews on them. The Reverend that is doing our ceremony even told us not to use them- he did a wedding and the photographer from the Pros never showed up!

Thank you everyone!  Soooo helpful!I have decided to go with Create Excitement for DJI am torn between Nicole M and StellaView for Photography, deciding this week, and we decided to forgo the video. Now all that's left is to decide on an officiant which is also a work in process.  Can't wait for the "big vendors" to be solidified so I can focus on the fun stuff, like dress shopping
