Fi and I worked on out table seating tonight and it took all of 20 minutes. I guess we are lucky! :-)

Wow thats awesome!! How many guests do you have? We did ours in about the same time but we only had about 75 people at our wedding.

I found seating to be easy as well. As people RSVPd I kept a list and would put groups together. We did some family shuffling and wound up with tables of 15 and tables of 8, but it all worked out.

20 minutes?  Maybe I should hire you to do mine!  I already know it's going to be difficult since my invites go out in another month and we've been adding/deleting/rearranging the guestlist for months.  I think the seating will probably be even harder.

DS: The easiest way to do seating? Paper plates. Get yourself some strips of postits and write your guests names on it. Lay out your plates like your floor plan and start sticking. Makes it easy to see how the tables are organized and move people around.

151 guests.  I did it completely with excel using the subtotal function - it fell right into place.  We did combine some guests from his side and my side that we felt had similar interests, but all in all it was a task I was dreading and seemed to go so smooth.

Hi Allie,  I thought I got back to you, I am so so sorry (wedding brain).  A friend actually made me one and gave it to me at my shower.  Very sweet.  I hope I did not cause you any problems or hold you up selling it to someone else.  If I did let me know and I will make good on that. I will send you an email too to make sure you see this.

took me about the same w/ 125guests....we just labeles 13 tables and put down all the tables we would know would be together - that took 10min and then the rest we just put w/ people who we know would get along.... we actually did this while eating dinner at fridays...we were just talking and was like how many tables are we having and i took out my planner and we started writing.. once your in the groove and you know who is sitting w/ who regardless, its pretty easy
