Which would you do

I have two "themes" for the receptionA wine theme - full bottles of wine as favors, a coaster set that has wine bottle/glasses on the coasters and resin placecard/escort holders shaped like corksMonogram theme - Ribbons that will act as napkin rings with the monogram, favor tags with the monogram and all printed material will have the monogramHere is my question: The cork escort card holders came with placecards that have a grapevine running down the side. Would you use those to carry on the wine theme or would you go with placecards with a monogram so it matched the favor tags?  I made the favor tags myself and will also make the placecards so the cost will be negligible.TIA

Make your own with the monogram to blend the themes

I think less is more when it comes to monograms so I'd just leave the place cards as is.

Thanks FutureMrsFF _ that was what I was thinking Erika - you are so right that everything does not need to be a theme, but I am such a haphazard person that sticking to wine/mongrams has ensured I would not have a complete mishmash of things (which it totally possible with me!)

I would just stick with one thing. Like Seabass said, less is more

I would do blank cards.  It sounds like you have a lot going on already... I think you need to follow Coco Chanel's advice and take one thing off before you leave the house.  Particularly with two themes, because I think you're definitely running the risk of mishmash.

It is very easy to get carried away :) My sister (who is something of a Martha Stewart type, and is a little overbearing) had an "intervention" for me when I bought stickers for candy bags that she didn't think went well enough.  I got an email that she was concerned that I was making too many decisions without thinking about how they affected everything else, and she was coming to visit that weekend to intervene and plan something coherent.  Because of stickers for the candy bags.  Not kidding.

I'd use the escort card holders with the grapevine. They sound nice!

for the place cards, i would go w/ plain ones since you already have the cork holders...leave the card plain...would def look nicer and would make sure the guests paid attention to the holder which you paid for instead of the card that has all different designs on it...
