ahh, sweet of you to remember.  Well according to Kevin, the couple is not 100% sure if they want to get rid of him yet.  Also, if there is another family that is interested in adopting him if they do.  So it sounds like we are not getting another fur-baby Cry    but, once again bitter sweet.  We really don't have the room for another pup right now, and we are trying to save money for the wedding and honeymoon.

But Kevin promised that when we get a bigger house and/or a fenced in back yard we would get Charlotte a friend!

I'm just glad to hear the puppy isn't going back to the shelter.

    me too!!
chad and i went down to the york county humane society and picked up volunteer aps, i think we may start helping out some there with adoption screenings and animal care at the facility.
we are also going to contact a jack russell rescue and may start fostering for them as well.

Thats super cool.  I don't think I have the will power to be a foster parent.  The thought of having to give them away after getting attached...I know it's a great feeling to find them a forever home, I would just worry that I would have a hard time letting go!  Best of luck with that!

Glad you are going to help out at the york county humane, I love the fact that they are a non-kill shelter!

Maybe will have a GTG at the shelter!

they are opening a new facility soon and from the pics it looks great.  they are very cramped where they are at now.

funny story....when i started rescue 9 years ago my first foster....is now my dog (Sport) AND his brother (Toby), lol....yep, i kept the first dog i took into foster and four months later after a tragic incident i took in his brother. i guess they were never meant to be separated.

chad adopted the first cat (Dixie) a few months before we started dating and we decided to take in another one (Trixie) later to keep her company....

i don't support breeding but he REALLY wanted a jack russell and we kept an eye out in shelters but having a hard time finding one that was small. i placed an add on craigs list and was contacted by a family who wanted their kids to be able to experience birth so they bred their dog...she didn't do so well and only had three puppies and two survived so basically we paid rehoming fees and took one of the puppies.
