Serious stuff: things happening to loved ones - cancer, car accidents, school shootings (parents and FI are teachers and my brother's in college)Silly things: skyscrapers (even before 9/11 they made me nervous), moths, eyeballs

If I cannot choose what really is my biggest fear - I would have to say not being able to get pregnant as of right now because MH and I are TTC.

Last year mh's partner was killed a month before our wedding. I see his ex partners wife a lot, she has 3 babies & I feel horrible for her.  This is something that bothers me every day. Anway, when mh goes to work I am glued to news12 all night long.  I'm kind of anal when he goes to work too.  I'll walk him to the car, just to hang on to that little moment because you never know. His partners wife always says, that was the last time I'd say see you later.

mbc- eyeballs? -- that is weird. Not really eyeballs in general (I'm not afraid of looking someone in the eyes) ... like, when people pick at their eyes or flip their eyelids inside out. I could never wear contacts because that would freak me out, having to put something on my eyes. And those people on TV that shoot stuff out of their eyes or make their eyes bug really far out of their heads, or those surgery shows where they show people operating on eyeballs ... *shudder*.

I have a complete, life-long phobia of moths. MB, I've never met someone else with a moth fear.  Other than that, I have great fears of people I love becoming ill, getting hurt.

My dad also hates moths. I wouldn't say we have a "Fear" of them, per se, but we're both really creeped out by them and leave the room if there's one in there. Ever since I told FI about that, he does this thing to annoy me where he makes a wing-flapping noise with his mouth and then waves his hand against my neck (like a moth beating its wings against me). Jerk :PDo you also dislike butterflies? Those creep me out, too. I get the mental image of butterflies and moths flapping their wings in my face and get all freaked out.

ew. Eyeballs. gross. My biggest fear is torture. I could NEVER sit through a movie like SAW or something where people deliberately hurt each other. I know that covers a wide range of topics, but it really makes my stomach turn when I see stuff like that. I couldn't possibly imagine that happening in real life. Very scary.

MB:  I'm actually embarrassed to admit that I FEAR moths. Definitely a phobia. I KNOW they can't do anything.Butterflies creep me out, you put it perfectly. Sometimes I say "I fear 'winged things' " but birds don't bother me so that's not quite true.I can relate to being harrassed by "moth-hitting-skin/flapping wings" sounds! MH 9& some friends) TORMENT me with that!!

spiders - or reallly any insects for tha tmatter.  especially the ones with amillion legs!! also like kris said - anything happening to my son.  I can't picture going on in life if something happened to him. Losing my mom, husband and/or brothers. The dark. I always think somethings following me.  I'm one of those people who SPRINTS up a flight of stairs to avoid the "thing" behind me (that's obviously not really behind me!)

One of my biggest fears was to lose my mom and last year I did and I didn't think I could survive but I made it.One of my fears now is getting sick myself.I used to be deathly afraid of small dogs, I am better around them.

Also, I'm not afraid of dead persay, but what I am very scared of is being terminally ill and looking at my son (and one day m y daughter) and knowing that I have to leave them, and not being able to see them doing the things that they will in life. I feel very bad for my dad that he didn't get to see my graduate high school, college or see me get married.  I know he would have wanted this.

falling, I have no problem with heights as long as there is no chance of me falling I also have a fear of something happening to DH on the job. Even long before we were engaged I would have nightmares of being at his funeral.

I've been worrying about about car accidents lately. I have flashes of things happening while I'm driving and it creeps me out. I am extremely afraid of rodents. It is irrational and ridiculous, but I have nightmares about mice and rats. I will literally jump out of bed screaming.

Another is water. I hate jet ski's/wave runners, small boats. MH is an avid scuba diver & as much as I'd like to try I'm scared to death, it can be a very dangerous hobbie.

snakes.  ugh.  makes me shiver just thinking of them!  Sometimes I have an irrational fear of one being in the toilet or in my bed.  I think I watch too many of those "when animals attack" shows.

someone breaking into our house while we're home or something like that. A couple weeks ago I woke up to our dog barking downstairs, which is not like him, in the middle of the night. I seriously thought someone was in the house and have never been so scared. I was lying there thinking "Oh my god, I'm gonna die 2 months before my wedding". haha.
