Poll: your signature drink

Since we're bored here tonight, I'm working on a signature drink menu - I'm copying off of Cher and doing a something borrowed, old, new and used type thing. :)Any flavorful drink suggestions? What did you use?

I'm not doing this but I can give you suggestions for drinks...as I like to drink! ;o) My favorite is a vodka tonic, but that of course isn't very fun. Vodka collins...MMmmm it's Vodka and sour mix, kinda like a yellow color I think. For the something blue drink, obviously do something with blue mix. ok i know, duh.

I dont know how it plays into your theme but my new favorite drink is champagne with a strawberry. I dont really drink and went a wedding a few weeks ago where this was served and had a few glasses. It was really yummy. For blue the easy answer is anything with blue curacao (sp?) but I think I would try to get a blueberry martini or something like that.

I love Tom Collins actually, but they give me ogeda. Blue - Blue Hawaiian, but not sure that fits. I'm a retired bartender, I'm trying to give it my best shot here.

Thanks Cher, I'm kind of just copying off your bio - but using my "event colors" if you will. :) Would a tom collins be considered an "older" drink? maybe my something old? Why does it give you ogeda?

I would consider it "older", the acid in the sour mix gives me ogeda. When I see some of my older aunts drink, I think Manhattans, Side Cars, Whiskey Sours.

I've got your something blue -- it's called a glow-tini and it's actually a "less strong" martini with a blue glow cube.  It's actually something they serve in Disney and we got the recipe from them last time we were there, so let me know if you are interested.

instead of a traditional champagne toast, we did a guinness toast since we're both Irish.  However for the non-beer drinkers, we also had a Peach Bellini option.  Our venue offered both the Peach Bellini and Guinness as our specialty drinks

My favorite mixed drink is Malibu Bay Breeze (cranberry juice, pineapple juice and Malibu coconut rum). Runner-up is a cranberry vodka ("Cape Cod-er," I've heard some people call it). FI would probably choose a Jack and Coke, if he was drinking something other than beer.

I saw that. That's adorable. But our last name will be Hitt. I'm not sure I can think of something that'll be as cheery as Mathias Martini. That's cute.

Mishie, I don't want to do the light up one bc then I have to get the light up ice cubes. Our venue is putting a strawberry in each of the champagne glasses for the toast.

We're having a signature drink, just not sure yet, so I'm not much help. I think we were just gonna do two different one's. One is going to be a martini and named after our last name. We're thinking of some kind of chocolate martini.
