Does anyone know of a fabulous place to get their alterations done? I have a complicated dress with lace and all that jazz. I'm looking for North Jersey (Hoboken area). Thanks for your help!B

I had my dress altered by Ally's Bridal and Tuxedo in Hoboken.  I also had bought my dress from her.  My dress wasn't as complicated but Ally did a great job and I saw how she even fixed another bride's dress that was completely botched by another seamstress first.  I trust her since she only charged me $150 total for my alterations, and her work as still exactly what I asked for.And the other bride that came to her with the botched dress had wanted to re-order the dress altogether because she didn't think it could be repaired.  But instead of making a nice commission on selling that bride another dress AND altering it, she fixed the dress and saved that bride a lot of money and headache!

Little late, but I have a rec, although she's about 45 mins from Hoboken. My dress was very complicated as well - it was all lace on the bottom and my seamstress had to unstich all of it by hand and re-stich it on keeping the "pattern" and honestly it looked like the dress had never even been touched - she also altered the neckline and took some of the boning out.  Fab and for a very reasonable rate.
