Madison Hotel Conservatory venue?

Did anyone get married in the conservatory at the Madison Hotel? How was the food? Can you really fit 100 ppl in the room? Were the accommidating to out of town guests? Thanks!

I looked there too, and while they say the room can fit up to 150 I dont believe it.  My mom went to a wedding there and said it was cramped.  Its pretty though!  Eat at Rods, its delicious!  Dont pay what they ask, leave and they call and offer 10 less a plate.  Did not go with them though, their menu didnt offer beef/chicken/fish, and their cocktail hour seafood was extra.  We put their Wedding options against others and they didnt offer as much as others, plus the room was small and a bit dated.

Def 100 150 would be too cramped for me, my company has their holiday party there every year and I have never had a complaint about the food or service. I'm not a greenery person so I didn't like all the plants lol

My cousin just had her wedding there.  The room looks small but she had 130 guests and it was fine.  It was a beautiful wedding.  The food was great!  My fiance and I stayed overnight and the rooms were nice.  My fiance had just gotten home from Iraq the day before so we made our hotel reservations the day before the wedding because we had no idea he would even be here for the wedding.  They were very accommodating and even gave me the group rate although I was booking my room at the last minute.

def fits 100 ppl; i looked there, loved the space, didn't like where it was located nor the acoustics for the glass room and didn't like that the ballroom down the hall could have another wedding and shared that one tiny bathroom.  otherwise very pretty location.

I'm not getting married there, but my engagement party was there today. We have about 60 people, I think 150 would be cramped..but I've seen them do both weddings and ceremonies in that room and somehow they make it work. Obviously you'd have different food for a wedding, but this party was a champagne brunch and the food was phenomenal!

i loved the conservatory...i looked there but the room was tight and I didn't like how if the weather was bad the cocktail hour was below the room. it seemed really cramped with the low ceilings. and the unfortunate thing about sharing the bathroom with the other wedding down the hall was kinda wierd... also if you are getting married in the conservatory and having the reception there I heard the time to change the room around was awkward...knew someone that went to a wedding like that and they said the guests were kinda just standing around.. besides all that, I loved the feel of the hotel and the room was beautiful. loved all of the flowers... i believe that the brownstone in west paterson also has a conservatory type room. it's a pretty venue, i've always enjoyed the food there and it is relatively inexpensive!
