My best friend of 25 yrs (who was my MOH) was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital yesterday in tremendous pain & they've diagnosed her with acute pancreatitis (it could become chronic; let's hope not). She's only 35, beautiful, in great shape/otherwise healthy and mom to a 5 yr old and 1 1/2 yr old. The hospital won't allow the children in, understandably, during flu season, etc. so she's very depressed on top of feeling poorly. Pain killers are helping a bit, of course, but she will remain on IV fluids for 3-7 days, not even a sip of broth...time to allow the pancreas to "rest" while they do further tests. She's an only child, we grew up like sisters. I'm optimistic but terrified at the same time. I'll see her in about 1/2 an hour. Please take a moment to send Lora some positive thoughts!Thank you~Jamie
