I say it as twenty-ten, but I think when writing it out as words (for invitations or whatever) I'd put it as two thousand ten.

I think I will call it two thousand ten, but I see your point based on previous centuries.  Now that I think of it, I can get really annoyed by what people do with numbers.  It drives me crazy enough (for no good reason) when people call "September 11th" "nine eleven" and even more crazy when people call it "nine one one" (sorry, it is not the number you call in an emergency). But the worst was when people call my former zip code -- 10021 -- "one hundred twenty one."  I think that requires way too much thinking and processing on the person receiving the information's part because they're expecting five digits of info.

i've been saying two thousand ten, but, sometimes twenty ten....because i don't say i graduated in one thousand nine hundred ninety seven, or nineteen hundred ninety seven, i say nineteen ninety seven....but i wouldn't say i got married in twenty oh nine...but i'd say twenty ten....and now i'm just rambling

I was a math teacher, so in my head numbers are always in the Thousands, Hundreds, Tens, Ones format.... definitely Two Thousand Ten.

there is no such thing as twenty ten.  this doesn't make any sense at all and i suppose is just mathmatical "slang".  so ditto this:but doesn't twenty ten make more sense? No.
