i went to pronovias in NYC. I loved the girls i worked with! i went there twice. they have beautiful and affordable things.

I looked at Bridal Elegance, Park Ave Bridal and Kleinfelds. I bought my dress at Kleinfelds.

I went to Affordable Elegance in Hasbrouck Heights, East West Bridals in Secaucus, New Jersey Bridal Outlet in Wallington, and Bijou Bridal in Paramus.. I finally got my dress and my bm's dress from Bijou. I love it there, Stephanie is a doll!

Priscilla of Boston- went to both the one in NYC and in Short Hills and it was the best experience (I went to 5 other stores before this!)

bought mine at helen bohn's in washington township bc 1) they were local 2) had the dress 3) i liked the sales people 4) i could go there anytime while dress was being ordered to see how accessories matched 4) nice price and alterations included... i actually found my dress at RK bridal, huge rave for awesome selection however i would never buy from there. also liked: chrissy o's, bjiou bridal, park avenot a fan of: tinas bridal, bridals by roma

I have not purchased yet, but thats because I have an appointment at Klienfelds next week that I made months ago.  Anyway I rec The Bridal Suite in Hamilton.  I found a dress I really like and will go back to try it on again if I dont find anything in NY. The owner who I met with was really great.  Showed me a ton of dresses, they have a great selection of BM stuff too and give good discounts if you buy everything there.  Good Luck

I had a good experience at Russell's in Linden but did not purchase there and regretted it. I purchased from a store in PA and it was a huuuge mistake.

Lingerie & Bridal By Lisa on Rte 46 in Parsippany is my recommendation. Lisa has many gorgeous dresses, is a certified fitter and will take wonderful care of you. A warning: please avoid Tierney's Bridal in Morristown at all costs. Alyssa Tierney tried to sell me a used, pre-worn gown passing it off as new. When I confronted her she caved and fully reimbursed me.

I bought my dress at The Wedding Salon of Manhassett (ask for Noreen).  I would also recommend shopping at JaeHee Bridal (My Daughter's Wedding), Amsale in the city, and Saks.

This is the most comments I've seen on a where to dress shop post in a while. I bought my dress from Hollywood Bridal formerly of Union and now in Kenilworth. They have a tux shop there too. I went several times and they were always pleasant and had a ton of options.
