bouquets

I was and maybe still am planning on making our bouquets myself... I want a very simple all rose nosegay, nothing fancy, and it seems very easy to make. I can buy 150 long stem roses for about $160. I haven't done any research on florists yet so I really have no idea what bouquets would cost. Question 1: Does anyone know of anywhere else I can get quality roses for less than $160? Question 2: Does anyone have an estimate of what 3 bridesmaids bouquets and my bouquet would cost and any reccomendations for a florist in Burlington / Mercer / Ocean county area?

I'm planning on doing all of our flowers myself too. I was a BM in my cousin's wedding last summer and we all made our own bouquets and they turned out great. I've only done a little investigating, but at this moment I'm planning on ordering my flowers from The Flower Exchange online. Their website is http://www.theflowerexchange.com/Scripts/defaultn.asp A few months back I saw another bride on the Knot who posted all about her experience with them and it sounded like a really great operation. They FedEx the flowers to your doorstep just a day or two before the wedding. Keep them in a cool, dry, place in buckets of water and you'll be good to go. I don't have any estimates from florists, but you can expect $100-$150 for bridal bouquet and probably $30-50 for bridesmaids. And don't forget bouts for the boys and corsages for moms and g-mas. I've figured I can do my bouquet, four BM bouquets, 7 bouts, 2 corsages, and about 12 centerpieces for under $500 using roses and hydrangea (which is a more expensive bloom). I would recommend doing it yourself. It can be a fun project and save you a bundle of money! Good luck!

I'm using kirk florist in howell and my bouquet is around $150 for orchids, peonies and calla lillies. my girls have all mini callas for about $90. I believe roses would have been a lot less than that.

If your looking to do your own flowers I recommend fiftyflowers.com.  My SIL used them for her wedding and the flowers were beautiful.
